The History of SSG
Seventh Street Graphics began close to twenty years ago when the business was started by Ron Mulaire in his home on Seventh Street in Berlin, NH. Ron eventually moved the shop one block away to 1165 Main Street and continued to build the business. After a few years of hard work Ron Decided to move on and sold the business to Terry Guay whom ran it with the help of Taylor Fortier.
Desperate to get out of the business Terry approached Taylor’s boyfriend Robby Bergeron who was employed at another local print shop. Excited by the idea Robby approached long time friend Jeremy Larochelle to become his business partner and on June 12, 1998 the two young entrepreneurs, they were only twenty at the time, took over the business.
The new owners decided to combine Bergeron’s earned print shop knowledge with Larochelle’s artistic and technology skills to create a printing business based on technology to facilitate the customers’ needs. Soon they became the only print shop in a forty mile radius that owned and operated a high speed color copier which allowed them to keep prices low while providing their customers with eye catching printed designs. Two years later the duo purchased the assets of another company and entered into the “Large Format” printing business. To meet the demands of a growing clientele the team purchased their first offset press and hired the pressman to run it.
With large format, digital and now offset printing literally flying out the doors the team decided to move locations and in the fall of 2003 Seventh Street Graphics was officially moved to their current two story location at 346 Glen Avenue in Berlin.
The new location provided the company with the space needed to continue expanding their services and staff. Additional presses were added along with essential pieces of bindery equipment and computer based printing and pre-press technology. In 2005 Larochelle stepped down and Bergeron became the soul owner of Seventh Street Graphics. Taylor took over as the companies office manager position allowing Robby to focus on growing his company.
Under Robby’s direction Seventh Street expanded into the vinyl graphics and lettering market adding computer based vinyl cutting technology to the mix. In less than a year Bergeron purchased the assets of another vinyl graphics company and hired the talented Tyler Charron to meet increasing demand. With his company running at full steam Bergeron never let up and soon added T-Shirt and Garment Printing into the mix with the help of more computer technology and increased staff.
In 2009 Robby initiated the revamping of the Seventh Street Graphics website and enlisted the help of his former business partner to create a webpage able to facilitate the printing needs of a growing global economy. The webpage you are reading today.
